The tab contains settings for connecting through a proxy server. The tab can be useful if the computer on which VideoCAD is installed is connected to the Internet not directly, but through a proxy server.

 

Global setting / Manual setting

 

If Global setting is selected, VideoCAD will try to determine the presence and settings of a proxy server based on the operating system parameters. This is the default state.

 

If VideoCAD cannot connect to the Internet to check for updates or access to the databases of camera models, but other programs on this computer connect to the Internet, then try switching to the Manual setting state and entering proxy server settings manually. You can ask your network administrator for proxy server settings.
