Background

Post by LB_cctv »

It would be a nice feature, to have (inside VideoCAD) the ability to use customized backgrounds (instead of the typical already existing). This will add realty to the design, as customers could see pictures where are familiar to him/her.

Thank you for the first question on this forum :) !

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by the customized backgrounds.
In the Graphics window, the background is a 2D site layout in *.dxf , *.dwg , *.bmp , *.jpg or *.wmf formats. You can import the layout to place cameras on it. It can be any graphic file.

In the 3D window you can place any raster images in *.bmp or *.jpg formats using the 3D image tool. This tool is available from VideoCAD 6 and VideoCAD Lite 6 versions. Usual photos and pictures in *.bmp or *.jpg formats can be placed in 3D space. Raster images can be transparent and can replace difficult-to-make 3D models. Raster images can be scaled, placed at any angle, used for modeling variety of objects, from banknotes and plates to complex backgrounds.
