Re: printing

From VideoCAD4 version actual view area projections are hatched to make them transparent. The projections may be non-transparent because hatching becomes too frequent. We already received such message once, but couldn't repeat the problem. Probably it is connected to some printer features. If it is ...

Re: Software Compatability????

VideoCAD6 is compatible with Windows Vista. You can see Windows Vista in the list of compatible operating systems in ReadMe.txt (ReadMedemo.txt) file, 'System requirements' chapter.

Re: escalators

Thank you for your question. It is possible in VideoCAD6. Heights of constructions (including 3D models) can be negative. Thus you can model any object below ground level. In order to see objects with negative height from cameras on positive heights, make ground surface unvisible. You can hide groun...

Re: CAN I IMPORT FLOOR PLANS I ALREADY HAVE?

Yes, you can. It is a basic working method. You can use files in *.bmp, *.jpg, *.emf, *.wmf, *.dxf, *.dwg formats as a background for camera placing. Please see Help system>Interface>Graphics window>Main menu>Drawing>Load background. To get Help, move the mouse cursor to the main menu item Drawing>L...

Re: Constructing and building

You can place 3D models on any height. In VideoCAD6 3D models can be scaled on any axes (x,y,z). Please see Help system>Interface>Graphics window>'Construction' button group>3D model. Or right click on the 3D model button on the Tool bar, then click on What's this? pop-up item. By the same way you c...

Re: Constructing and building

You need to have 3ds max to import 3D models. In 3ds max you can open AutoCAD (dxf, dwg) 3D file, then export it to VideoCAD as 3D model.
You can export whole 3D scene as one 3D model.

You can import AutoCAD (dxf, dwg) 2D files to VideoCAD directly, as a background for camera placing.

You can import in VideoCAD any 3D models which can be opened by 3ds max software. 3ds max is needed for import procedure. Re: IP-Cameras

Thank you for your suggestion. All cameras in our camera database are tested by us. We plan to test other cameras. But in the world there are a lot of cameras and we can't test all of them. Whatever cameras exist in the database, it will be always not enough. You can test and add any cameras used in...

Re: Background

Thank you for the first question on this forum :) ! Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by the customized backgrounds. In the Graphics window, the background is a 2D site layout in *.dxf , *.dwg , *.bmp , *.jpg or *.wmf formats. You can import the layout to place cameras on it. It can be any gra...
