Any plans to integrate with Google Sketchup?
It is so easy to used compared to building with CCTVcad. It just doesnt have the camera setting you offer.
If we could model in Sketchup and import to CCTVcad - wow ! what a tool

Re: IP camera bandwidth and storage space calculator
I see you have just released a IP camera bandwidth calculator as a saleable item. I find this ammusing as there is no commonality between models and compressions that can be put into a standard calculator. 80% of the market use the TI DSP chipset for compression, which will give the same results. Ho...

Re: Digital zoom calculations
Thanks for the clarification. Makes sense. In CCTVcad, If I created a camera of 2592 x 1944, to simulate a 2X digital zoom, would I view it in the 3D viewer and got to IMAGE PARAMETERS / PROCESSING and adjust the resolution there to 1296 x 972 ? Also as a side note, v6.2 does not seem to give an opt...

Digital zoom calculations
If I have a 5MP 1/2" camera with a 20mm lens looking at an object 220m away and I want person ID, how do I calculate this. Based on and email from Stanislav Utochkin, to get a 2X digital zoom, which to me is a 40mm effective lens, I make the camera 1.2MP. As this is 1/4 I did some homework : http://...

Re: IP Megapixel cameras
I am amazed at how few vendors provide the info required and the fact people still believe pixel count is everything. I can produce a CIF image that has a higher TVL than some of the Mega Pixel cameras around. Likewise MPEG4 and H.264 etc quality's and bandwidth vary dramatically between manufacture...
