The
Plugins for Autodesk 3D MAX and SketchUP are discontinued. Starting
from version 9.1 VideoCAD has its own tools for direct import
3D models of many 3D formats.
VideoCAD
has an opportunity of 3D modeling video surveillance scenes using
constructions and 3D models distributed with the program.
The
distribution kit of VideoCAD includes several most relevant 3D
models for CCTV design. Though the standard package tends to be
enough for accomplishing most of tasks, there may appear a need
for library supplement.
Any
3D models and scenes which can be opened in SketchUp
or Autodesk 3ds Max can be added to the
VideoCAD library.
For
exporting 3D models to VideoCAD the Free SketchUp version
is suitable.
Lots
of 3D models can
be downloaded from Internet for free. You can also create
models and scenes in SketchUp or Autodesk
3ds Max independently.
We
offer special packages for importing 3D models into VideoCAD.
These
packages contain:
-
Plugin file;
- User
Manual with step-by-step description how to insert
a new 3D model into the VideoCAD library;
- Example
of ready 3D model files.
Import
3D models is supported by VideoCAD
Starter II, VideoCAD
Lite and VideoCAD
Professional versions. It is not supported by VideoCAD
Starter version.
The
package for importing 3D models and scenes from Autodesk
3ds Max is now outdated and not supported. You
can download it here.
The
package for importing 3D models and scenes from SketchUp
is now free. You
can download it here.
With
VideoCAD
8 a new version of VideoCAD Plugin for SketchUP was released
with possibilities of export textures, transparent textures, opacity
of materials and scaling. 3D models in the new format are supported
starting from VideoCAD 8.
